Huaneng (Shanghai) Engine Power Co., Ltd. (Huaneng (Shanghai) Engine Factory) is the holding Huaneng Power International Inc. plant. Located in the Baoshan District of Shanghai, is based on natural gas as fuel, with a total installed capacity of 1200MW (three 400MW units) in combined cycle unit. By Shanghai Electric and Germany's Siemens joint manufacturing, and in May 2006, respectively, in June, fully put into operation in July.
Gas Turbine Power Plant of Huaneng Shidongkou production from start to completion in just 15 months time, China has created more than 1 million kilowatts installed capacity level of gas turbine power plant construction the fastest speed. The whole project is the installation of the three sets of heavy-duty F-class gas turbine combined cycle unit uniaxial, its gas turbines, steam turbines, generators and equipment consists of three main Shanghai Electric - Siemens consortium package provided by the Shanghai Electric of main equipment, technical parameters, the system configuration and layout, as well as on-site installation and commissioning for the main equipment harmonization.
Gas turbine combined cycle unit is the just beginning in the international arena are more advanced in an emerging power generation technologies. Compared with traditional coal-fired generating units with a power supply, high efficiency, low investment, short construction periods, covers an area of low water provinces, as well as peaking performance and environmental performance is good, and many other advantages, in recent years is widely used around the world. Shanghai in accordance with the Huaneng Shanghai Combined Cycle-resistant Power Co., Ltd. started cooperation in 2006, so far, all the valves to apply products in the plant well and Huaneng Power International Inc. has become a long-term cooperation partners and network providers.
